Opioid Resource Distribution Station

Empowering Communities, Saving Lives: Take a Stand Against the Opioid Epidemic

As the crisis escalates in the Greater Philadelphia region, our station stands as a beacon of hope, providing crucial resources to minimize harm and save lives in our communities. Here’s a closer look at the initiatives undertaken at our Opioid Resource Distribution Station:

1. Responding to the Opioid Epidemic:

One of the newest initiatives has been the addition of a station to combat the Opioid Epidemic. As the Opioid Epidemic soars throughout the Greater Philadelphia region, this station provides patients with some resources to reduce the harm of the epidemic in their area.

2. Trained Volunteers and Resource Distribution:

Here, the trained volunteers educate and distribute certain resources to patients that have shown to be effective in fighting the Opioid Epidemic.

3. Essential Resources for Harm Reduction:

The station distributes Naloxone, Fentanyl test strips, Xylazine test strips, and drug disposal bags.

4. Tailored Engagement for Diverse Communities:

As there is such a wide range of communities met throughout all of the clinics, we have had varying levels of engagement with this station but overall, patients are the most interested and happy to accept the resources after being trained on how to properly use them and being informed of the low risk with the use.
